Delmas

It was laid out on the farm Witklip in 1907. It has been administered by a town council since 1965. Meaning ‘small farm’ in dialectical French. The name was given by Frank Campbell Dumat, former owner of the farm Witklip, after his grandfather’s farm in France.
Dutch Reformed Church
Dutch Reformed Church, 4th Ave – Designed by Gerhard Moerdyk. The cornerstone was laid by Rev MJ van Niekerk on 18 March 1944.
DR Church hall

Voortrekker Centenary Monument
 This monument commemorates the Sarel Celliers wagon during the Great Trek centenary in 1938
The hammer and Anvil monument
Magistrate’s Court premises – dedicated to the memory of the Delmas Treason trails. Unveiled on 3 March 2012. It symbolised the mass movement and the armed struggle against apartheid. It honours the 22 trialists, including Frank Chikane, Mosiuoa Lekota and Popo Molefe.
